My bonus for the week was finishing off the three Gronn kills on the path to neutral statuswith Ogri’La.  Not only have I been wanting to get these done because they were cluttering up my quest log (lol), but they were just another reminder of how far behind I had fallen without a guild.  More to the point, getting to neutral with Ogri’La would open up some more dailies for me to help save up for my epic flight training costs.

So for the last month of so that I’ve been playing Amanna again, I’ve used the LFG tool to look for help on the quests.  I’m not even sure if anyone uses it anymore, but hey, it can’t hurt.  Plus it opens up the LFG chat channel in addition.  So last night I’m playing and I actually see someone in chat asking if anyone is interested in Grulloc.  Heck yea I’m interested!

So I get the invite and fly to them.  We’re a party of four with a warrior, a rogue and a priest, all 70’s.  Seems pretty reasonable, but they all seem hesitant to try with just four.  I tell them we should be fine, and they ask me to dps while the warrior tanks.

We head in and within less than a minute I notice my health start dropping.  I’m guessing it has something to do with the fact that before I was looking at Grulloc’s heels, now I’m looking at his toes!  Glancing over, I see our warrior is dead already.

One corpse run later, they’re deciding again if we can do this with four.  Just for the heck of it, I ask the warrior what his armor is at.  He says around 11,400 buffed.  Huh???  A level 70 warrior at 11K armor?  I’m no WoW insider, but that seemed way off.  I don’t say anything about that, but suggest maybe we’d have better luck with me tanking, as I now have around 24-25K armor in bear.  They agree to try one more time and it goes like a charm.

Grulloc down.  Maggoc down.  Slaag down.  It ended up being a good group and a lot of fun.  They all had to split up after these three, so I didn’t get to finish the chain off, but I’m that much closer (and around 60G richer).  The issue now is I need a 5 man group to finish the last two quests.

So, I’ve had some fun this week.  Haven’t found the time to work on the UI from scratch as I’ve had too much fun playing!  Sometime soon, I promise.  Plus I do plan on re-doing my bear and cat gear lists, hopefully extending to Resto and Balance also.
